 Welcome to the Texas Skies District (TSD) of the Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Texas Skies District serves families within the boundaries of the Katy and Royal (Brookshire) Independent School Districts. Nearly 3,000 youth members are enrolled in 33 Cub Scout Packs, 27 Boy Scout Troops, 6 Varsity Teams and 9 Venture Crews. In addition to the nearly 3,000 youth members active in these 75 Scouting units, nearly 1,500 adult volunteers give their time and talent to help these youth become the responsible leaders of tomorrow.
Texas Skies has set up a full monthly set of District meetings to service its units and direct its activities:
- District Commissioner Meeting: First Thursday of each month; 6:30 to 7:30 pm, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1603 Norwalk Drive, Katy, TX 77450
- District RoundTable: Second Thursday of each month; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1603 Norwalk Drive, Katy, TX 77450
- District Committee Meeting: First Thursday of each month; 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1603 Norwalk Drive, Katy, TX 77450
