Texas Skies District Annual Planning Conference -

Sunday, March 30th - 1 - 5 pm - Deren-Huff Scout House

St. Peter's Methodist Church (Kingsland Blvd across from Taylor HS)

This meeting is for all District officers and their staff and any other interested unit Scouter. The meeting objectives are to review/evaluate our new District progress to date, build our TSD 2008/2009 calendar and make plans and assignments for the Program Preview at the May RT.

WEBELOS WOODS

It is always bigger and better in Texas
Since this is the inaugural Webelos Woods of the new Texas Skies District,
Texas will be the theme so get out your cowboy boots and hat.

When:  January 11-13, 2008
Where: Camp Brosig - Sealy, Texas
What: 

Overnight Camping experience for Webelos I Scouts and their Adult Partners. Opportunity to work on Activity Pins, including Forester, Geologist, Outdoorsman, Readyman and Athlete.  Opportunity for camping and cooking. 

Opportunity for Webelos II scouts to understand the Boy Scout program (Pioneering, Cooking, First Aid, and Scout Transition) and go through their Arrow of Light ceremony.

Will have multiple Arrow of Light ceremonies for Webelos II scouts to insure smaller groups and more meaningful experiences.

Lots of fun for all including archery for Webelos I scouts and BB gun shooting for Webelos II scouts.

Registration will begin through this site October 8, 2007 and continue through December 1, 2007. 

Cost will be $ 10 for each Webelos Scout, $8 for each Adult partner, and $12 for those going through the Arrow of Light Ceremony.
