Training - For Everyone: 2010 SHAC University of Scouting University of Scouting Registration ========================================== Mustang and Texas Skies districts will be offering Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) and Outdoor Webelos Leader Training (OWL) in November 2009. IOLS is part of the requirement for all Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to be considered “trained”. OWL is required for all Webelos leaders to take their Webelos scouts camping. IOLS has 2 parts. An introductory patrol meeting at McGee Chapel (2025 Highway 6 South) on Wednesday, October 28, at 7:00 PM where participants will register for the course, patrols will be formed, and information on the overnight campout will be distributed. The campout at Camp Brosig (Sealy, TX) will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, and ends 12 noon on Sunday, November 22. Pre-registration for IOLS is requested but walk-ins will be accepted at the October 28 meeting. OWL will be at Camp Brosig (Sealy, TX) on Saturday, November 21, from 8:00 AM to approximately 9:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for this one-day course. Cost for either course is $15 (please bring exact change). The OWL course includes lunch and dinner and the IOLS course includes Saturday lunch (patrols will prepare Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast).
